What does Mac OS have that makes it worth buying a Mac Mini as a server?
There is a desire to take a game .... but I can’t find an application. It's about organization.

On os x, nginx is fine, you can host some kind of internal website.
You can put os x server there and raise some kind of file support, backups, etc. on it.
But generally speaking, there is nothing special about mac mini, as well as practical benefits for the organization :)
Nothing like that, just a high-quality assembly, good hardware, a convenient Unix-like OS. The rest has its pros and cons. As a networker, I like weeds out of the box and I just trudge from swipes, otherwise it’s a matter of habit.
Nothing, absolutely nothing. Mac OSX is a desktop system, there is practically no point in using it as a server.
Even for builds / tests, this is meaningless, because it will be easier + cheaper + faster to file several virtual machines for this.
If you want to indulge - buy a macbook as a portable workstation, air models are not expensive now.
