What does if you are using nvm and zsh, ensure that the line to load nvm is in .zshenv and not .zshrc mean?

The plugin description says " If you are using nvm and zsh, ensure that the line to load nvm is in .zshenv and not .zshrc ".
I just don't understand what I need to do?
Maybe something else needs to be installed for nvm?
