What does a beginner web programmer need to get a job?

Greetings to all forum participants. I want to ask experienced programmers and employers, if any.
I am a beginner web programmer, I have been working in PHP for about a year, I am familiar with HTML/CSS/JS, SQL.
I am familiar with the API, I can write a simple personal account, I have experience in writing parsers.
When recruiting juniors for a job, tell me what is valued, maybe some certificates, passed tests, participation in projects, or maybe they will ask for a portfolio in the form of written programs.
Indicate what is most emphasized and where, let's say, it can be purchased (certificates, for example)

Certificates are not needed. Some still need to shock in front of customers, but no one takes them seriously (of course, English is another matter).
A portfolio may not be asked, but it may not be if you developed internal systems.
Everyone has different requirements, someone requires the ability to independently develop simple services using frameworks, and for someone, basic knowledge and a desire to learn are enough.
A plus may be the ability to work in a team, the ability to write tests, knowledge of git, basic knowledge of Linux. For separate restful api.
Not everyone asks, but it is important to understand the http protocol, at the level of request types and their components, web sockets do not seem to be required from juniors.
In big cities there are offers for every taste, but more in line with modern trends (frameworks, composer, etc.). In the little ones there are many lovers of cycling. In any case, there are plenty to choose from.

so you have been working for a year already, that is, you want to hire juniors and check their knowledge by certificates?

Didn't find what you were looking for?
