Technologies for the implementation of a web project?

Dear habr-users, we need to develop a site comparable in functionality and appearance to ?.com, in the near future we will be looking for an experienced full-stack web developer.
Can you please tell me what skills / technologies a developer should have? At the moment I'm leaning towards MARS (MySQL, Apache, Ruby, Solaris), HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Git, Agile. Is this the right direction? What do you think I forgot?
Development will take place on Mac Os, interface design is being developed in Sketch.
Thank you in advance.

It's a bad idea to look for fullstack. A site of this level will require a team of engineers. There is such a thing as bus-factor , read it at your leisure.
Technologies are selected on the basis of TOR + a mandatory stage of initial design. They must be selected by the engineer. At the same time, it is far from a fact that fashionable technologies will be the best solution. The same agile can not be planted everywhere. Solaris - it is not clear why? Ruby - here you can’t figure it out without technical specifications.
That's not for you to decide))
You checkers, or go? Sketch is the tool, design is the result. Do not limit the designer in tools.

you pay attention to the wrong things at all, find a talented developer, and give him the freedom to use the tools that he likes best (well, or a team, and let them decide on what and how to develop).
Don't understand technology -> trust your employees.

There are very few experienced full stack developers. It is much better to look for 2 specialists, a backender and a frontender. Specialization rules, especially in large projects.

What is Solaris?
If the load is high, then Apache automatically changes to nginx plus a passenger or puma.
If you have one developer and it’s clear what the hell the agile is doing there, will your developer not agile into one.
Well, it's git by default.
Write that the web muzzle will be in html zhs and css I could at school 15 years ago because only they write web muzzles for 99 percent of projects

If you cut, then everything else in the list is superfluous. Apache especially. Take Thin + PostgreSQL + Linux, win-win.

Didn't find what you were looking for?
