The problem is that there is Windows 10 build 1607, and DDE doesn’t work inside it - that is, it doesn’t work at all, not a single program can use it, I myself didn’t try to write anything under this old technology, and I don’t need it already, but there are various programs that still use this technology, to display their data in Excel, for example, etc. there is a need for these programs and you can’t get away from it, so I tried all the builds of all versions of Windows - from 7th to 10ki - DDE works in all of them at once, without any settings and dancing with a tambourine, except for 10k 1607! in 1607 DDE does not work at all, no dancing with a tambourine and Google did not help! By the way, I'm not the only one - this problem was discussed on the English-language forums and no solution was found, apparently people decided it was easier to update Windows for a new build, but it's not easier for me, for some reason I need this build and I won't update it, so I'm thinking - maybe just take the dll's that are actually needed for DDE from another build of Windows and transfer it to my 10ku? Who will tell you what?
