What CMS to choose for a photoblog?
The free but proprietary Koken has been used for a long time. It was discontinued a few years ago. Now, due to rotten links to the google api, it has stopped working altogether. There is no desire to poke around, because the software is heavy and buggy initially. I'm looking for a replacement.
Mandatory requirements (Koken was able to do all this):
Resizing on the server side and caching of photos in several resolutions. Preload and easy scrolling. Accurate placement of differently oriented thumbnails (portrait and landscape) on the page. Wisiwig blog editor interface with gallery photo insertion.
Complete autonomy is also desirable: so that libraries are not loaded outside, and external APIs are not used.
