What is the problem when installing docpad?

I install DocPad on Mint 14. I
installed Node.js through the Program Manager.
Trying to install docpad ends

I understand that the problem is file permissions.
But I don't understand how to fix it.
Questions:
1. Where is the installation of Node.js and docpad under Ubuntu similar systems described in detail?
2. Is it worth changing folder permissions or will it cause a lot of problems.
Threat I want to install exactly DocPad ... Do not offer replacements. Is that something similar to Node.js and Git.
