What can you advise about writing a video stream service?

There is a task to write a service for streaming video. At the moment I am writing on the node and I think there should not be any strong problems in order to stream the video, although I have no experience in this and I can be wrong.
1. What can you advise about this?
2. What can I read/watch about video streaming?
3. Is node suitable for this purpose at all?
3.1. If not, what language would you recommend for this? Heard a lot of good things about GO, are they true?

I would use FreeSwitch in conjunction with NGINX + nginx-rtmp-module
. Thus, streaming itself will work and in what language to write the business logic for managing who and what to show is not so important.
