What can rattle in a MacBook Retina?
I have a MacBook Pro Retina 13 "2015. And when tilted from side to side, something seems to hit the walls of the case in it. So far, it does not affect the work in any way, but pretty pisses me off. What could it be?

I had the same problem on 13th 2015 early, when shaking from side to side, something rolls inside and hits the walls. Mac works flawlessly, bought a month ago. So I think it's worth it to carry to the service center. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7278174?tstart=0
Macbooks are bolted to the battery, hard drive, drive, and cooling. The rest seems to be pressed by the board, and the board, in turn, is pressed by the body. There seems to be no drive in Retina (correct if I'm wrong), the SSD drive is inserted into the connector on the board.
Remain the battery and cooling.
It would be best to go to ifixit and look at the disassembly instructions in the photos there - maybe that will clear up.

I have exactly the same problem and it's also very annoying, what could it be?
Similar problem. The sound of the keys when flipped is audible, but these are not keys.
I opened it and looked at everything, but I didn’t find anything - the battery, cooling system, motherboard, ssd, speakers, touchpad - everything is fixed well and does not move when tilted. The sound is more clearly audible at the junction of the case with the matrix than in the area of the touchpad. It feels like something massive is shifting (before opening, I thought it was a battery).
So, having just carried out additional tests, I discovered that the nature of the sound changes depending on the position of the matrix. Also, a less distinct sound is heard when the laptop is in a vertical position, if the lid is fully opened and closed. Those. it's definitely something in the matrix (beyond the matrix). Now to understand what it is...
We bought 4 working laptops macbook pro 2015 Retina 13 early 2015, everyone rattles. I tried to figure out what was the matter, I stopped at the fact that I broke the clip of the keyboard connector, fortunately I managed to find the clip on aliexpress, but I decided to stop researching at this point. I suppose that it rattles under the black bar at the bottom of the screen, where the screen loops and the Wi-Fi antenna are located.
PS This problem is very annoying, but it looks like you have to put up with it
Faced a similar problem, has anyone managed to solve it / understand what's wrong?
The same thing on 13 inches ... At the same time, the case still crackles)
Found the same problem today. My MacBook 12 "2015 is a month old. If you shake it from side to side, you hear, like in a kinder, dull sounds - something beats from side to side behind the matrix. If you close the laptop and press the lid a little, it stops hanging out.
Went today to the official Apple service center. They said that I was not the first with such a problem, the laptop was dismantled and looked for signs of outside interference. Everything took about 5-10 minutes. As a result, the laptop was given away and a new display was ordered. They said that they will call in 2 weeks and replace it with a new one. The problem is that the matrix is not glued
I contacted the Apple service with this problem in June last year - the service said "this is normal - everyone knocks", contacted support via the hotline - they advised "and you put it on the table and don't shake it." This is the finished service.
Well, at least a year later the situation has changed.
fatfrumos41 did you end up replacing the matrix and did it help? what service did you use?
I ran into the same problem, I'm trying to figure out where to carry it and whether it's worth it to carry it somewhere.
Same thing in mpb 13 2015. Wrote in support, they sent to the service center. Kinda hard to get there. No matter how they return it worse than it is .. fatfrumos41 and how did your story end?
Didn't find what you were looking for?
