What else can be displayed in the blog sidebar? - Tags - seems outdated and unnecessary. Who goes through them? Social media links is a financial blog. Advertising - again, the financial blog of the company of the same name.

First ask yourself the question: what needs to be inserted there?
Is it so necessary to litter the site with unnecessary or almost necessary information? If the sidebar does not pursue any goal, and according to the idea of ​​​​the interface, nothing has been invented there, maybe abandon it altogether and give more space for content? Except for you and the designer who thought through the scenarios, no one can answer this question exactly, especially blindly. It is categorically unnecessary to throw anything there, just to "make it happen".
