What books to read for a web designer, intermediate level?

Good evening, dear colleagues!
I can not call myself a professional, at the same time I am not a beginner. I read a lot of books and articles, read old editions of such books as: Steve Krug - don't make me think, Jakob Nilson - web design, Lebedev - leadership and the like. At the same time, I constantly read articles on Habré or Medium.
With all this, I feel under-educated, I feel some problems with typography, color understanding, usability and in general, in design aspects. I would like to hear the opinion of professionals, how can you fill in the gaps in 2018?

I can advise you to read less professional literature, and in the time saved to sit and draw. 4 works in the portfolio is about nothing.

Judging by the portfolio, you need to start over from the very basics. Probably the best option would be old Soviet books.
For example , "Sidorov A.A., Istrin V.A. (ed.) Fundamentals of the design of the Soviet book"
