For the intermediate level, you will need about a dozen books and at least three years of real-life experience.

I would advise youtube or Udemy, and books after video courses. The best book "JAVA. PROGRAMMING METHODS" I.N. Blinov, V.S. Romanchik. And in my opinion, it’s better not to flip foreign ones for beginners, because often the localization leaves much to be desired (if you know English, that’s another matter)

By itself, you hardly need java. We need more libraries and frameworks.
To determine where the middle level is, decide on the subject area.
Those. determine what exactly you want to implement in Java and start learning the right environment with core java.
Well, books are not enough, you need a lot of practice. Without this, everything read will quickly disappear.
