What book would the respected community recommend on LANs?

Good afternoon. Employed as a system administrator. There are many things I don't know and don't understand. Please recommend a good book about networks. What is NAT, Masquerade, what these or such protocols are used for, how they work, how to configure them, etc.

In my opinion, the best textbook on IP networks in Russian, despite the volume and year of publication, a lot is described, and most importantly without water!
Authors: Retana, Alvaro; Slice, Don; White, Russ
Series: Cisco Press Core Series
Publisher: M.: Williams
Binding: laminated hard.; 368 pages; 2002;
ISBN: 5-8459-0248-7; Format: enlarged
Annotation
The inexorable law of computer networks says: everything that was small will become big; everything that was big will become huge; everything that was huge will turn into a transnational network. The main purpose of the book - to acquaint the reader with the rules of 'good form' in the design of large-scale computer networks. After all, the key to a stable network lies precisely in its proper design, and not in a super-fast transmission medium or high-performance switches and routers. The book is intended for network designers and highly qualified users.

I recommend this from the bottom of my heart: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKdRgZWgy42YxoFcT...
All sorts of Olifers, etc. they are more absolutely for stubborn network engineers. Although depending on what level you need.

I can offer to contact on Skype, go through the main protocols and scenarios for their use. If this format is interesting - write in a personal. I always wanted to try to teach someone something. Although I don’t have much experience yet (I have CCNP R&S, CCDA certificates, 3 years enikey, then 2 network engineer, now I work in Poland in an international company), but I can definitely tell you the basics.

Tod's book is better than the default tutorials from Cisco imo.
