What are the website layout tools?

Previously, I used excel - to draw a set and site navigation logic. But now something tells me that I'm doing nonsense. Are there more modern tools for this business?

Personally, I used these
https://balsamiq.com/products/mockups/ (paid, free version is easily searched for on torrent trackers)
https://moqups.com/ (there are both paid and free versions that differ in functionality)
There were more different, but I did not use them for more than 5 minutes due to inconvenience. Personally, the second of these is closer to me, when I need it, I pay for a monthly paid account.
Many companies make interactive website prototypes in Axure , but I personally think it’s unnecessary for a freelancer to waste time on all sorts of “interactivity”, it’s faster to show them on static pictures.

Axure - в ней можно накидывать и общую структурную схему, и детали постранично. А главное - интерактив, который не просто добавляет живости проекту, но ещё позволяет взглянуть под другим углом на привычные вещи. Например, навигацию очень хорошо и правильно тестировать в динамике.

Если нужен быстрый набросок, достаточно и возможностей бесплатной версии. При необходимости, платный аккаунт стоит 9 или 10 баксов.
