A cursory search on job sites revealed a not very pleasant picture - web developers' salaries start at 1.5 thousand dollars and the average salary is somewhere around 3x (similar amounts are offered to sales consultants) and this is for 3-5 years of required experience in almost all technologies. 1.5 thousand in the Emirates will rather not be life, but survival, not allowing them to rent a separate apartment and eat normally.
