Watching video from a computer on an android smartphone
Hello habr.
I was puzzled by such a problem - I want to watch video from a PC on my smartphone, so much so that I don’t open the smb-ball, copy the movie to the USB flash drive and, after watching, delete it.
Ideally, you need a solution like this: there is a server part on a computer, there is a client part on a smartphone. From the client, I get a list of files in a predefined directory, I tell the server that I need to start streaming with the desired file as the source of the stream, I cling to the stream with the client and watch it.
I found remote vlc in the market, but I didn’t fully understand it (vlc never used it at all) and I’m not sure that it will allow you to select the desired stream, and not stupidly the one that is currently being broadcast.
As an extreme option, tell me a player for android that can play files via smb:// without first copying them to a USB flash drive.
Oh yes, on a windows computer :(

I also wanted this, but I never found a normal streaming player for android.
remote vlc is just to control VLC on your computer.
A version of VLC for android is promised pretty soon.
