Voice recording at home. Hardware and software?

I ask for the help of those who have ever done voice acting for videos or made podcasts. I would like to know what you need to record voice at home. Which microphone is suitable, where to buy, do I need a windscreen and a pop filter? To start, I would like to meet about $ 100. The difficulty lies in the fact that in stores with the appropriate equipment there is a whole zoo of microphones: from $ 10 to 500, and, as a non-professional, it is not clear to me how one differs from the other.
Of course, a "professional" microphone is not needed, since I'm not going to write vocals.
In addition, the second question: what kind of software can be used to edit sound, connect it with video, remove noise and slightly improve the sound quality? The tasks are simple and an all-in-one program is probably not needed.

It is better to remove noise not by software, but by normal sound.
The sound system in a laptop or built into the motherboard almost always gives interference noise. In this case, it is better to either use a normal sound card, or try a cheap option - an external USB sound card (but
I have not tried this).

the simplest pop filter - a stocking stretched over a wire frame

Audacity for processing, any normal external audio for recording.
The quality of the microphone is determined by eye Pts simply: In a quiet room, we record something and look at the projection of the sound wave on the monitor. For an amateur, it is enough that there are no jumps where there were none, and in silence the wave was as close as possible to zero.

If your diction is good (that is, you speak articulately), then karaoke (they have omnidirectional reception) and software that removes noise is enough. I personally use Goldwave. This is about 300-500 rubles.
Without using the software, you will already need expensive equipment (at least a couple of thousand rubles) and a room.
If the diction is bad, it is better not to do this business at all.

Software - SoundForge or Audacity. Professionals recommend Audacity. SoundForge - if you don't bother at all.

Firstly, secondly and thirdly - be sure to listen and take note of the first part www.youtube.com/watch?v=nV-w-ROzxeA - there are just the answers to your questions.
Here's a little more:
You definitely don't need a windscreen (where do you get wind at home?)
A pop filter may be needed, but you can trick it without it, you have to choose the position of the microphone so as not to "spit" on explosive consonants. Much depends on the manner of speech.
A quite simple “capsule” is enough for a microphone, but it’s better not to use the built-in sound system - you will record a lot of pickups from the computer itself. In the recording, pickups are heard from moving the heads in the hard disk, from moving the mouse.
Noise reduction software must be used very carefully. As a rule, it is better not to use, but to mask the noise with background music.
Be sure to think about the acoustics of the room, up to hanging the walls with blankets and carpets. It is the echo of the room that often gives out knee recordings, and in most cases it smears the voice, it becomes more difficult to make out.
When recording, do not pinch, it is better to stand up altogether.
When you collect the audio track, do not forget about the compressor. He will smooth out the bumps in speech.

Also, since they are talking about software here.
Audacity is good, but it's a sampler. Record the sound, cut the ends, process a bit. Not good for information.
For editing - open source Ardour (harrison consoles sells its assembly with additional bells and whistles under the name Mixbus). Fantastic program. For processing, I advise a set of GVST plugins, and also TAP-plugins (I don’t know how it is with them in Windows, but Ardur is useless without them).

For editing sound, I can advise Sony Sound Forge
For gluing it with video - Adobe
Premiere

Of the programs, somehow everyone bypassed Adobe Audition. A fairly good sound processor, which removes noise and processes sound.

I recommend looking at dynamic USB microphones. This is convenient, although they have less flexibility - for example, there is no way to plug it into a good preamplifier. But on the other hand, I plugged it into any computer (laptop, desktop) and it works. Doesn't take up a lot of space and no wires. And of course, I advise you to look here, most of the questions have already been answered there: tipz.umputun.com
