VMware or Hyper-V?

Hi)
Which free virtualization system to choose?
It is planned to launch 2 Windows server 2012, possibly also a file server on Linux.
Hardware: Dell T420 server with raid controller, xeon, 16gb ecc, 2 sac disks 15k and 2 regular terabytes, both in raid 1.
I have no experience with either one, I just need everything to work. Vmware, as I understand it, has some kind of GUI, which hyper-v does not have, well, it doesn’t matter ..) which is better to choose? if possible, justify) thanks!

We must try to predict the growth of VM in the future. Hyper-V has Hyper-V Manager (it seems to be included in MS RSAT). Only the server should be checked in VMware HCL.

Umm... ummm.... ummmmmmmmmmmmm... well, I should have used search first! Right here on the toaster! For related questions! Now for a note... hyper-v has a Hyper-V Manager . Think! The answer to your question sounds - At this stage of your acquaintance with virtualization, you should rudely give a damn about what you will use.

In general, do not care. Given that you are looking at free options, I would recommend Hyper-V. There, with drivers for hardware, it’s simpler (Windows after all), plus in the free version you can bungle a failover cluster, but you won’t be able to make a free ESX cluster without vCenter.
As for management - Win8 has RSAT, and there, respectively, there is Hyper-V manager. It is enough to simply install RSAT and Server Manager on Win8 from the RSAT kit, and Hyper-V Server can be managed normally. The only thing is that it is desirable to have a domain and enter this Hyper-V server into the domain. Because without a domain, you will have to make a lot of effort to allow management access to the server - you will have to open the firewall rules, climb into DCOM, a lot of everything.
