Virtualbox on macbook pro who works?

Good afternoon. I ask for your help.
There is mb pro 2017 with high siera system.
I need to work on virtualbox and use windows and nix distributions.
But no matter how much I fought - Linux always slows down (very slow work), windows 7 also slows down even when scrolling through the page in the browser.
I allocate enough RAM. 3d acceleration for video memory is enabled.
I tried the latest versions of virtualbox and 2-3 versions ago.
On the virtualbox forum, the question was raised more than once that virtualbox does not really work on poppy.
I would be grateful for your experience of using vb on mac os. Interesting to know OS version and VB version!
