Tell me, please, in which direction to dig.
Task: create a security server and a couple of clients for installing and testing specific software.
What has been done:
1. The host on which the physical adapter and the VirtualBox Host-Only Network adapter are combined into a Network bridge - 192.168.5.x/24 (for Internet on a virtual machine). So I decided to pervert.
2. Installed on VirtualBox Server 2008 R2.
3. Set up a network connection for your needs in the same range as the network bridge (192.168.5.x/24).
4. Further I configure roles of the server. First of all AD DS, after rebooting dcpromo.exe, this procedure lasts all day.
5. The host and guest OS are pinged. The Internet is here and there.
6. Do I understand correctly that the problem may be in the virtual machine itself, in the network bridge, or in the wrong settings of the network adapters (perversions with the network bridge)?
7. What would you advise to do? (It is desirable to exclude the use of VMWare, you can use Virtual PC instead). It is impossible to exclude the use of virtual machines.

What OS is VirtualBox on? If on Win8 or 2008R2+, then use Hyper-V, without dancing with network bridge.
