Video editing, where to start?

Hello,
I want to learn how to make beautiful video editing, for example, I want to learn how to make an explosion in the background, etc.
What do I need for this, where should I start? What programs do I need for this?

Adobe After Effects - a program more for creating effects
Adobe Premiere Pro - a program more for editing - both were used for some Hollywood films. Look for lessons on them.
Also, then you have to learn how to work with programs for 3D modeling (3D MAX, Maya)

If you just "dig deeper", anything will do.
For professional activities from software, you need to know Premier with After, or Nuke. Explosions cling to footages, or are made in 3D graphics packages (in a professional environment, Houdini is preferred in this regard).
You also need to remember that vfx (special effects) and editing are different things and the editor may not be able to do effects at all and vice versa. For editing (i.e., assembling the footage into a finished work), you need to know the relevant rules and principles, and not just own some kind of program, otherwise you will get unwatchable stuffing.

I recommend that you start learning Sony Vegas Pro . The program is quite easy to learn and not very demanding on hardware. On YouTube you will find a huge number of lessons on this program.
