VboxSVC.exe keeps increasing memory consumption, can it be disabled?

Raised about 8 virtual machines on the computer.
VboxSVC.exe constantly increases RAM consumption, can it be disabled? What is this service responsible for?
Killed the process - all machines crashed, had to be restarted.
I can not figure out how to limit the growth of the memory of this process.
