Using the ipgeobase.ru database with the nginx http_geoip_module?

Hello. There is a module for working with GeoIP in nginx ngx_http_geoip_module, however, to work with it, the database from www.maxmind.com/ is used , which for the CIS countries does not always contain reliable information. Can someone implement the use of the ipgeobase.ru database with this module and suggest a solution? I found information www.lexa.ru/nginx-ru/msg19233.html that someone posted a script for converting the database to nginx format in the nginx-ru mailing list, but I could not find it. And given that the database has recently changed its format, the script has most likely lost its relevance. Thank you.
