USB-HDD as a flash drive

You need to copy the recovery partition from a fresh laptop using standard tools, it is copied only to dvd and flash drives. There are no flash drives for 20+ gigs, but there are a lot of usb screws, but they are defined as hard drives and the standard program from HP does not see them.
Tell me, is it possible to emulate usb-hdd as a flash drive?
(laptop HP Pavilion dv7-4120er, Windows 7 x64)

Usually, the inverse problem is solved in order to split the flash drive into sections ... But the essence is the same - you need to change one bit with a special program so that Windows decides that this is not a disk, but a flash drive.

But I still understand where to dig.

and why exactly by regular means, Acronis can copy a section sector by sector

filmed the partition with acronis. and then he was thrown and the image after him. dv7 does not have anything worthy of note in the standard kit. On the edge, a set of firewood can always be pulled from the HP website, and the image of Windows can be found on torrents, since there is a serial number on the sticker.

Hmm, I made it easier on the hp beech. I copied this partition to a stupid one (mounted and copied), then with the help of some magic (Press XX for recovery) I “restored” the bootloader on a new screw. He pulled out the old screw, booted from the new one and installed Windows on the new screw.
