Upwork suspended my account, what should I do?
Good afternoon.
Banned on Upwork, as I understand it, for a large number of unclaimed applications. Although there weren't many. Didn't know about that at all!
And now I don’t know how to unban (or nothing can be done.
Thank you!

Upwork has recently become softer about such bans and there is a fairly large chance to remove the ban through support.
To do this, you need to contact https://support.upwork.com/hc/en-us and show yourself as best as possible:
- Provide a link to your portfolio site (if it exists, in English and looks good) ;
- give links to accounts on professional sites (stackoverflow, github for programmers; behance, dribbble for designers, and so on), if they certainly show you in the best light;
- send scans / give links to your certificates related to your work;
- show your competent English;
In general, in most cases, not very competent people sit on the other side of the support, and your main task is to impress them as a good specialist in their field, think about how best to show it to people who do not understand the intricacies of your profession.
In general, there are quite a few cases when people were unbanned after a message like "Sorry, I filled out my profile poorly and applied for all projects in a row, but now I realized my mistake, I will fill out the profile correctly and I will take the search for projects more seriously"
If you get banned a second time , then you won’t be able to unban and creating a new account is also not an option - 99% of which will be banned after a while. Therefore:
- read the experience of other freelancers on Upwork: profiles, cover letters;
- spend a LOT of time filling out your profile, taking quizzes and recording videos;
- do not apply for all projects in a row;
- study each project individually and spend a LOT of time writing cover letters.
If you have a diploma close to your specialty, an outstanding profile on linkedin, certificates close to your specialty - send everything to tech support with a request for a second chance and never copy-paste props again.
If there is nothing like that and objectively the ban is fair - pump up your skills and find yourself another platform, Upwork is popular, but the world has not converged on it. You can start searching here - https://github.com/lukasz-madon/awesome-remote-job...
Good luck

Actually, you need to negotiate through the support, if there were few applications, they will unban
There was a similar situation.
The first time I wrote right away - they told me the same thing as you, they asked for a diploma or certificates confirming the presence of other skills. I thought this was stupid, even though I have a technical degree. How many people on Upwork have diplomas or certificates proving their skills? And why should I send them some documents for slowly looking for a job?
The second time I wrote two weeks later, when there was no hope. The account was just unbanned. The reasons for the ban were not described. So just try. Perhaps this is a second chance or something like that, or maybe the support got kinder. Who knows...
