Upwork - projects for copying / downloading sites. Is it worth it?

There are projects where you want to copy sites. For example, they suggested a project - copy the site design on wix to html (i.e. copy the entire site).
1. As far as I understand, such copying is piracy and a violation of their legislation?
2.How does Upwork feel about such projects? If I take one and do it, will they not block me together with the customer, considering it to be a violation of copyright?

You ask "I understand correctly, this is your site?"
But in general, here you need to look at the Wix license agreement.
For example, I copy sites on WordPress, and communicate with the client in such a way that it is considered by default that this is his site, and he just wants a normal CMS.
There should be no problems if you work with such an aim, considering that it is the client who limits YOUR site.
