I worked for upwork a few years ago, I plan to return again. But due to the fact that the field of activity has changed, I think to close the old one and create a new account. Is this allowed by the upwork rules?

Upwork rules prohibit registering multiple accounts and judging by the situation on the toaster, Upwork successfully bans people for this, but if you check on your account, unsubscribe in this thread for statistics.

Hello. The same situation, due to recent events, returned to the upwork, but did not want to use the old account, besides, it was "frozen". It was impossible to close the old one because of this, so I created a new one, contacted the support service directly to a specialist. Asked to delete my old account. Issue resolved. Now both racing tellent and verification passed on a new one, I work hard, no ban is expected. And all because the upwork rules prohibit having two or more accounts at the same time. If for some reason you want to delete your old account and create a new one, there will be no problems. Unless the old account has been verified. Then things might be different.
