Uninterruptable power source
Nazar Mokrinsky, 2012-11-24 17:19:15

UPS Logicpower UL850VA LCD (AVR) USB + Ubuntu?

How to make Ubuntu 12.10 be friends with a subject?
I tried the nut and acpupsd utilities - they do not understand it.
Connects to PC via USB.
In lsusb it is defined like this:
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 0001:0000 Fry's Electronics

By the way, someone will explain to me the thread WHY such a simple device as an uninterruptible power supply (connection via com port or usb, you need to transfer a minimum of data: mains voltage / battery / output, temperature, currents / discharge / charge, yes, calculate the estimated time completely charging / discharging) still practically does not work in linux?
According to the idea server on linux + UPS = the most common combination!
And then such a bummer! - inserted the printer - downloaded (if any) the driver from the Internet and installed it - and here - install the package yourself, try to configure it and still - figs to you Little Red Riding Hood!

I have for LogicPower LPM-UL1250VA (LP4987) on lsusb displays:
but it does not matter. Command:
issues a config and a driver for ups.conf, from what he issued, I left only 2 lines:

driver = "richcomm_usb"
port = "auto"
Everything worked! Try.
PS Although there are few variables: > upsc [email protected]it only shows operation from the mains / from the battery.
