Upgrading to Windows 8

I have a laptop with Windows 7 Home Basic, I'm going to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro. After the update, can I put a clean eight with the existing key?

Yes, everything will work.
You don't even need to update.
You get the key after payment, download the Win8 image from anywhere (it's not a problem to find it), install it cleanly and enter the received key, everything worked for me.

With Windows 7, the focus failed. There was a version of Home Prem., I bought an upgrade to Pro, I butted for a long time with the support of Melkosofra - you can’t install Pro right away, when you reinstall the system, be sure to repeat the path from the beginning. I'm not sure that this will work with the eight.

Yes, even if you cheat and buy an update for 469r.

Now, under Parallels, I tried to install a clean win8 with an upgrade key, it doesn’t fit, the ISO was downloaded by an assistant, are there any options?

The thing is this: I decided to change my native disk to an SSD on the laptop, after updating to Windows 8. I put clean Windows 8 from the disk (flash drive). In the Google way, I reset the temporary key, and try to enter a new one. Accordingly, after the reset and gouish means of entering the key (purchased for a promotion), the system reports that the key is only for updating. Do not panic, having a wide channel today and a link in the letter to download the client for updating - Windows8-Setup. We start the client, we update, which is not very fast for more than an hour. After the update, the system is activated, it remains to reconnect to WiFi. I suppose that somewhere here C:\ESD\Windows, there is a complete solution to the issue.
