Ubuntu won't load nvidia drivers?

Given Ubuntu 20.04, kernel 5.4.0-40-generic
Old video card nvidia gt450 rev2
Drivers nvidia-340

I'm trying to install proprietary drivers and after reboot I get the following message in dmesg

nvidia module verification failed signature and/or required key missing
accordingly, the video card core module does not load
. The graphics system does not let you go beyond the login form, you can’t switch to the console either: either there is no reaction to the keys (and switching to the console), or the screen content is fragmented and randomly mixed. Everything works with free ones, but the eyes begin to get tired very quickly, and sometimes I would like to drive normally into toys.

What can be done?
