Ubuntu + iPad2, what ready-made solutions do you know?
Hello!
Ubuntu 10.10 + iPad2, what ready-made solutions do you know?
Defined only as a folder for reading with photos of the iPad.
From what I googled
- gtkpod
- FileApp for the iPad
did not help, since this thing simply does not allow you to create folders.
Before delving into the depths, I decided to ask if there are ready-made solutions? |

In general, the answer turned out like this.
1. Updated to 11.04
, “Documents on the iPad” appeared
2. Install the FlexPlayer application on iPad2 (free)
3. Now I go to Documents on the iPad -> flexPlayer -> Documents and fill in the root (!) Movies.
4. iPad2 plays everything.
thanks to all!
What exactly are you interested in? I synced my iPod with gtkpod. I tried again through Rythmbox, but the attempt was unsuccessful. There is another application for pictures and it is located in the application center (I don’t remember what it’s called, just search for the word iPod or iPad). The OS defined the player as just a flash drive and you could write anything there. In theory, with the iPad should be the same situation.
As an option to jail and upload via ftp / ssh, or use the same AVPlayer with a built-in ftp server, but there is no full replacement for iTunes
