Will the battery in the ipad fail if it is not charged for a long time when stored in the package?

There is such a device: market.yandex.ru/model-spec.xml?modelid=8485662&hi...
Apple iPad 4 64Gb Wi-Fi + Cellular
Lies, packed in factory packaging.
Turned it on only once.
Stays for a year or more.
What is its shelf life? I mean without recharging.
If it is stored like this for a long time, but after a few years I turn it on, recharge it, will it remain operational? What type of batteries are used in this device? What is their service life and storage? The packaging with the product should be kept warm, at room temperature.
How long can you store the device + battery in its composition without recharging, so as not to throw it into the trash?

@IGHOR

The battery will degrade over time whether you use it or not.
You can only reduce the rate of destruction of the battery. Store should be at a charge of 40% in the cold.
