Ubuntu 16 not displaying Cyrillic?

When executing the command "dpkg-reconfigure locales"
I choose ruUTF8, then by default I also set ruutf8
and this is what it gives:
-bash: warning: setlocale: LC_ALL: cannot change locale (ru-RU.UTF-8)
-bash: warning: setlocale : LC_ALL: cannot change locale (ru-RU.UTF-8)

the locale is not ru - RU.UTF-8 but ru _ RU.UTF-8 An
underscore between "ru" and "RU", not a hyphen.
Even in the list of generated ones it says "ru_RU.UTF-8... done" , was it hard to copy?

@nazarpc

And what's the problem? Where exactly Cyrillic is not displayed?
