Trouble connecting monitor via HDMI and Displayport cable?

Good afternoon! I bought a philips brilliance 24ip qpyk monitor . After the purchase, it turned out that it does not have an hdmi input, but there is a Displayport. Went to purchase an HDMI --> DP cable . But when connected, the monitor does not see a signal.
HDMI is included in the video card (AMD Radeon R7 360)
DP in the monitor
Tell me, what could be the reason?

What HDMI->DP adapter are you using? I encountered this problem once, it turned out that there are many DP->HDMI adapters, this is a fairly simple conversion. Naturally, such an adapter does not work in the opposite direction, but there are cases when people try to deploy such an adapter with various father-mother adapters and they manage to connect the monitor and computer, but in this case, of course, nothing works. HDMI-> DP conversion usually requires more an expensive and complicated adapter like this: a.co/d/6Kr5CQO or a.co/d/83y41fe for a frequency of 60 hertz.

Network engineers are different. Explore forum.nag.ru , look at the list of equipment shop.nag.ru/catalog , look at the vacancies of interesting companies (for example, interesting to you) and make a list of technologies that they require in the relevant positions, as well as in positions that are not directly related to your have (so you can find out some details about what is to be done).
Take a closer look at certification, just to understand what is and what is not.
Go through ozon.ru in search of specialized literature - buy books or download online, read a lot.
Build something network for yourself - anything from relays to BGP routing in virtual machines (at the same time find out what BGP, OSPF and other protocol stuff is).
Look at the test benches of various vendors, they often provide virtual complexes for working out network configurations, and at some conferences you can work with live equipment in a compartment with vendor specialists.
In any case, the way of the samurai is from nothing to building something useful by finding out all the details and understanding the details. What would you like to build as a network engineer? Start by studying this, and there, you see, work will appear in the same area.

Better for you: sysadmin assistant with parallel study of the OSI model and data presentation layers.
Basic questions: IP address, subnet mask, mask calculation for a given number of hosts, routing, RJ-45 crimp colors, collisions, topologies, how a port differs from a socket.
UPD: if you have enough money, you can take Cisco courses and pass exams:
