Trailing slash and www

I googled for a long time as to what is more correct: put the last slash or not, add www or not.

I googled that for SEO it doesn’t matter, the main thing is to stick to one option (for example, for search engines, a page with and without a slash is two different pages with duplicate content) and redirect correctly.

The question is which is more correct (from a scientific point of view). I took a closer look at large sites and found that, for example, habrahabr does not use www and adds a slash at the end. If you remove the slash or add www, then the site is redirected and restores its original position.

However, github removes www, but it doesn't care if there is a slash at the end or not (" github.com/jquery/jquery-tmpl " == " github.com/jquery/jquery-tmpl/ "). Same thing with twitter.

Facebook does not use CNC, but adds www everywhere.

Personally, I don't like www in URLs and I think it should end with a slash or an extension (like .html).

I would like to hear your opinion.

Habr has a slash, it somehow hints. :)

This issue is not resolved from one plane, both DNS mechanisms and browser functionality can be involved here. And from the point of view of SEO, each search engine is free to index as it pleases (although there should be no difference in ranking due to the presence or absence of a prefix).

Before asking a question, I used the search, but found nothing. Why downvote (besides, the www topic is not disclosed here habrahabr.ru/qa/5626/ )

From the point of view of usability, the option without www and slashes at the end is more priority
if a large percentage of direct hits are planned for the site, most likely it should be followed.
From an SEO point of view, if 301 redirects are made, say
example.com>>www.example.com
/about>>/about/
