Thinstation2.2.2i and Win Server 2012R2 cursor not showing, how to fix?
Good afternoon!
There was a problem with setting up Thinstation Linux 2.2.2i - when connecting to a terminal server on Windows Server 2012R2, the mouse cursor disappears (while the mouse itself works). Thin client - HP compaq t5000 (via 800, 128Mb Ram, 64 Mb ide-flash) drivers include xorg6-via, vesa and openchrome.
Thanks in advance.

There was a similar problem, it's all about the old version of rdesktop. TS collected through TS-O-MATIC? I recommend building a fresh version of TS (5.+) with freerdp or using a ready-made solution based on it ( t-sol.ru/pg/ponix3 , for example).
PS We are currently using Ponix. No problem. In the future, we plan to assemble TS with our customizations, but for now there is no need.
UPD:
@Shaz just bought your thin client (t5135), tried to start it on Ponix - graphic artifacts are everywhere, it loads slowly when opening windows / scrolling through a slideshow. Same story when using prebuilt builds with thinstation.pro. Now, at an urgent pace, we are trying to compile TS 5.2 from source, but it turns out some kind of crap.
Guys are advised to turn off the mouse cursor shadow:
Start - Control Panel - Mouse,
"Pointers" tab,
uncheck "Enable pointer shadow".
TS 5.+ will not work because it will require hard optimization for the old via processor (support was cut in the 3.12.21 kernel that goes into TS 5.2) and it’s also difficult to meet 128 MB of memory. I used freerdp 0.8.2 instead of rdesktop.
The assembly was carried out on a virtual machine by taking the distribution from sourceforge.
And how do current versions of Ponix behave with old hardware?
PS and at the same time, can you tell me sensible manuals for customizing TS (version 2.+ is a priority), for example, I didn’t find a good manual on the move for creating / adding your packages to the assembly.
Didn't find what you were looking for?
