Which version of Mint should I install on my laptop?

I decided to install Mint in parallel with Windows. I went to the developers site and there are many links for downloading different versions of Mint. Since I had not come across Linux before, the question arose which version to download for installation on a laptop for private use.

Hello!
The guys decided to switch from Win7 to Linux mint 16
installed it on my asus x401u laptop, everything seems to be fine
, but after installation I can’t connect wi-fi and LAN,
tell me, do I need to look for drivers?
Please provide direct links if possible. Since in this matter I am distant and have not really figured it out yet.
There are no drivers for linux on the manufacturer's website.
