There are not enough pins in the Internet connector on the router. Is it critical?

I bought a ZyXEL Keenetic 4G III router yesterday. I tried to set it up and connect, but it did not work. Even through a direct LAN connection between the router and the PC, the interface did not open. I don't know what's wrong. But now is not about that.
I was more puzzled by the lack of half of the pins in the Internet connector of the router. Although they are all present in the old D-link. Below I will try to describe their arrangement in binary code:
0 0 1 0 0 1 1 1
Where 0-there is no pin, 1-is present.
Please explain how the missing number of pins will affect the Internet connection, which ports and outputs will be unavailable, and in general how "dangerous" is it?

In most cases, four wires are used, and the rest work as a screen. At high speeds or with a long wire length, this plays an important role, but at short distances, not so much.

Can I use a proxy, VPN, connect to TOR, I2P and other protocols with so many pins?
does not depend at all.
Do you know if this router has a USB connector, is it only for a 3G modem, or can you connect flash drives there and use the router as a torrent download?
see the instructions for your router. Or maybe there are alternative firmware for it, but it's better if you read their description yourself.

These pins are exactly what you need to work at a speed of 100 megabits.

It looks like you mixed up the beginning and end.
And so - a pair of pins 1,2 and 3, 6 - this is enough for a 100 Mbit connection for a standard crimp.
