The work of a sales manager in an integrator is not for an IT specialist, is it real?
Friends.
I don't know in which forum to ask the question. But reading this forum, I understand that the people here are smart, whose advice you can listen to.
So, backstory.
I am over 30. There was a project business in the field of energy, but it all ended in bankruptcy and a thorough hassle. 3 years of not very positive experience.
Then he worked for almost 3 years as the head of the sales department, again in the energy sector. This industry is tired to the core, or rather, I don’t see the prospect of earning money (I won’t go into details now).
In search of a better life, he accidentally entered the metallurgy industry as an ordinary manager. I work in a company with a turnover of 7 billion. My annual income is 2.5 million. No matter what, but I want something more. However, the reason for looking for a better share is not even in earnings. At work, I have to communicate with plant directors, lomoviks, etc. In this industry, all people are extremely specific, sort of gopniks from the 90s. To imagine the type - a person has the entire Porsche line from 911 to Panamera, but is dressed in an Adidas suit bought on the market and shoes, from communicating with such people you understand that they are all with the same convolution, by golly, you rarely meet people dumber. The contingent is the same, there are also a lot of personal tensions. In general, I burned out, I just can't take it anymore.
There is a long-standing desire to move into IT. Also, a close acquaintance works as a sales manager in the information security (banking sector), earned 8 million in 15 years. Naturally, this inspires me greatly.
I myself, far from being an IT specialist, I can pick up the site a little, I understand something in SEO, I understand the context well, in general, that’s all. This year I plan to enter the Higher School of Economics "Information Technology Management in Business".
And now the question itself.
Is it possible for me, without sales experience in IT, to get into an integrator as a sales manager? And what kind of earnings it is possible to reach in a year (I understand that there are a lot of variables, but still).
And to increase your chances, what can you learn? What courses to take?
And yes, I won’t become a programmer, I tried and realized that the world doesn’t need another shit coder)

Your friend is an exception, I think they sell a maximum of 2 million a year in integrators, no more.
Dear Igor!
You have a huge number of grammatical and other errors in the text. Pay attention to this.
If you are a salesman "from God", then you are expected everywhere. To answer the question: "is it possible to get ...", - walk around the interviews. I think you will understand. Of course you can!
I sincerely wish you to be at the right time in the right place and make your dreams come true!
By the way, envy is a bad feeling, especially when combined with negative feedback about the partners you work with.
with sales you can go anywhere
to raise on kickbacks and other things, you can also have a lot
of off-salary, usually quite up to the heights, a very small number of sales rises, and taking into account the protracted crisis, sales are not ice now.
