Backup

The perfect free backup tool - does it exist?

I recently asked myself a question about legal / free backup, and even with the ability to send files to the cloud. The task, in theory, is not difficult, you just need to turn on the automatic creation of a “Full” backup copy three times a week for a 40 megabyte folder. To solve this problem, I decided to use free tools from EasyUs, and Paragon, and Yandex Disk as a cloud storage.
If there are no questions about Yandex Disk, then there are obvious complaints about backup tools. EasyUs, long before that, has established itself as a “not very reliable” tool, after which, for some reason, backups do not always want to be restored. So this time it turned out that, as a rule, only the first backup is adequately created, and all subsequent ones can already go in the amount of 4 kilobytes, and carry absolutely no information. At least this is what happens when you change the settings of the selected backup (backup date, compression level, etc.).
Speaking about Paragon, everything is somewhat different here - backups are created and restored with a bang, but now problems arise with their transfer to other computers. When creating a backup in the .pfi format, it turns out that it is not possible to open it and import it on another computer, because in the free version of Paragon Backup & Recovery Free 17 I did not find the ability to open external backups, as well as a third-party tool, which would allow me to open a .pfi backup and extract the necessary data from it. Moreover, the most annoying thing is that opening your own backup on the computer on which it was created, after reinstalling the system, or the program itself, is also not possible, because, I repeat, I did not find an item in the program like “open file / backup".
It turns out some kind of nonsense - everything that you created on your computer, inside one version of the program, then restore it, but in no case try to reinstall anything. You do not have the opportunity to open and restore a previously created backup. There is, of course, the option to create backups in .vhd and related formats, especially since the program allows you to do this calmly, but in this case the backup size turns out to be too monstrous, and a harmless folder of 40 megabytes turns into a somewhat annoying archive as much as ≈ 500 megabytes in size!
In general, I understand that a normal result can be achieved only from proprietary / paid programs (approx. Acronis), but you need to understand that my task is too small to ask an organization to buy, in general, not the cheapest software, and he himself has a sports interest, and a desire to have a reliable, free backup tool at hand. If anyone has any thoughts/advice on this topic, I'd be very grateful for any of your help.

And now calculate - what will the loss of data cost :) Confirmation of this fake (this is not a typo!) was just the other day. The SSD is no longer visible in the frames. Just like that, it just stopped. There is no need to talk about "it doesn't happen" - I also thought that it didn't happen. So, they made backup frames. To the same disk :DDD
And when they found a backup of their data for the end of 2017 , they were immensely Happy.
Backup is not a topic to be saved on.
