The laptop DVD drive rustles and flashes when the computer is in standby mode. What is it?

Actually a topic. I came across an interesting fact, when the laptop goes to sleep after some time has passed, the laptop drive starts to periodically (about once every couple of seconds) blink the diode and rustle while moving the laser (presumably). It does not appear immediately, the laptop is sleeping, connected to the network and charging.

I don’t know if it’s a coincidence or not, but it seems to stop if you pull out the RJ45 cable.
I checked for viruses with 2 antiviruses, there is a firewall. I won't guess what it is.
Friends found out, in the morning they said that they had to turn it off, because. He didn't let me sleep, he constantly rustled. Any ideas?

The assumption - in Bios there is a loading from LAN. Or something related.
