The file does not open and next to it lies the same one with the SWP extension, what happened?

Good afternoon. I left a computer with an open midnight commander for the night in which I edited the provision.sh bashik. At night, for some reason, the ssh connection was broken. In the morning, somehow restored it. As a result, the file that was opened began to look like this.

Rather, there was only one red file that did not open (it wrote that it could not be opened, it did not exist at all), I exited mc and opened it through vi without problems... I re-saved it, then returned to mc, re-read the directory, and there were 3 files!! What the ..? Of course, one is now opening and everything seems to be fine, but I want to understand what it was and what to do with those two, demolish it?

@gto6120

vi cached the file before saving the new version.

@TrueBers

You need to work in tmux or screen, and there will be no such problems.
