I have a domain in the .io zone, but the domain registration has expired. The domain has entered the Redemption Grace Period state.
Do I understand correctly that in order to renew the domain, I need to communicate my intentions somewhere?
The question is where and how to do it? On nic.io or registrar site?
Question number 2. On the site of my registrar, the domain renewal costs $60, and on the site of another registrar $35 (gandi). Can I change registrar?

first you need to pay 60 bucks and renew the domain,
then activate the domain transfer mechanism and then you can renew for 30

Nic.io allows transfer of expired domains. Require a transfer code (epp\auth code) and change the registrar to health. If only the registrar you want to transfer to supports io transfers.
