Upwork
mirosas, 2016-01-24 12:42:18

The client offers payment by Upwork. All OK?

I did work for Upwork for one customer - for a long time. Now he needs something again. Only this time he connected to me directly, via Skype. Judging by the fact that he asked if I had a skrill, it means that he does not want to create work on upwork and pay through it.
Interested in the risks in terms of sanctions from Upwork.

If the upwork finds out you will get an eternal ban, although if the client pays at least ten thousand dollars, then you can take a chance, I wouldn’t even bother with the little things

They really ban, and the client can then blackmail you. So this can only be afforded with a very adequate and well-known client. And if it saves good money.

If the contract is open, let him pay for 5 hours through upwork, close the contract successfully, get nice feedback, then work directly. If the customer is adequate, such a scheme always works, if not, then why do you need such a customer. The main thing in correspondence is not to write: "Oh man, lets fak upwork and work directly via skrill"

So what does upwork have to do if the customer communicates with you via Skype, the task is in the same place, and payment is made to Skrill?
If he created a task on upwork and offered to pay through skrill, then maybe there would be a ban.
Although while I was blocked for account verification, I received payment through Skrill. And discussed it through the upwork page.

If desired, the customer can redeem the employee from Upwork, and after a certain period of cooperation and pick it up for free, but working directly in almost any circumstances is bad, since
If the work is being done directly without being licensed by Upwork, the likelihood that Upwork will find out about it is far beyond your imagination. Sometimes one gets the impression that they are collaborating with the NSA, and even listen to Merkel.
