Testing on a hackintosh, is it possible?

Good day.
There is such a question on which there are different opinions in Google - I want to study autotesting software on Apple equipment (primarily iphone), but the actual issue is the absence of the equipment itself - there is no macbook, no iPhone / iPad.
Therefore, the question is - is it possible to study and implement autotests on a hackintosh (by installing macos on a separate disk partition) or through any virtualization environment?
Or is it normal not to do this anyway without the "official" equipment from Apple?
