Good afternoon. There was a necessity of a raising of the server of terminals and ad. There are about 40-50 machines in the network. Whether it is possible to put AD and the server of terminals on one server? What are the pros and cons? I don't see any pros, what are the cons?

You can put. The installer honestly warns that doing this is not recommended. There are no pluses.
Of the minuses:
- Degradation of performance for the role of a domain controller.
- Issues related to the RDS role (for example, the requirement to reboot more often than usual) will affect the availability of the domain controller.
- The ability for users to run programs that carry stability and security risks for the CD.
- Banal "suddenly, the space on the system drive C: ran out"
Use virtualization. Separate roles on different virtual machines.
