Tell me a convenient way to transfer money to Ukraine
Hello!
Recently I started to cooperate with a freelancer from Ukraine, it became necessary to come up with a convenient and not too expensive way to pay for his work.
Initial data: The
sender lives in St. Petersburg, the money is available in the form of ruble cash or on a ruble Visa bank card from Raiffeisen.
The recipient lives in Zaporozhye, has a Visa dollar card and bank accounts in Privatbank (dollar and hryvnia).
Wishes for the payment method:
1. A small commission (no more or a little more than 2%) for amounts of about 5-15k rubles per transaction.
2. Availability of payment acceptance points, or the ability to pay by card online within the desired commission.
I will immediately mention the options that were considered, but did not fit:
1. Wire transfer: I don't want to open a foreign currency account, plus the minimum fee of 15 euros is not suitable for small transactions.
2. Transfer to a Visa card: the recipient claims that Privatbank cards do not support such transfers from payment terminals.
3. Replenishment of the Qiwi wallet opened by the recipient: our terminals do not support phone numbers that are account numbers other than Russian ones.
Options that come to mind at the moment, but have not yet been fully calculated:
1. PrivatMoney money transfers: I have not quite figured out their commission fees yet.
2. Transfer to a Visa card through PrivatBank Russia: it is not entirely clear how to pay in rubles for a transfer to a dollar card, and the branch of PrivatBank is not at hand.
In general, who has already encountered a similar problem - please share your experience in solving it.
Thank you!
PS: The ability to use electronic money such as Yandex.Money or Webmoney on purpose, because neither the sender nor the recipient use these systems. I would like to leave this option as a reserve in case there are no more convenient options.

And now, attention, the correct answer!
In the context of the sender having a plastic card and the recipient having a Privatbank card, the best payment method is the Liqpay service .
The sender opens an account linked to his mobile phone, binds a card to the account, and then transfers money to the recipient's account represented by a mobile phone. Transfer without commission.
The recipient can withdraw money through Privatbank ATMs, or to any Privatbank card.
ATM withdrawal fee — $1.95 + 1% of the amount.
Withdrawal fee to the card - (according to unconfirmed data) about 50 rubles, regardless of the amount of the transaction.
Information provided by the sender:
- Mobile phone number. It is also used as an account number and is visible to the recipient.
— Card number, expiration date, CVV. The name of the cardholder is not required. This information is not transmitted to the recipient =).
Information that the recipient highlights:
- Mobile phone number.
— Perhaps something else, depending on the method of withdrawing money.
All transfer operations took about 10 minutes - including registration, linking the card, the transfer itself and waiting for its confirmation.
Try simply by transferring through Sberbank of Russia to your name, receiving it on your passport. Interest is lower, speed is higher.
There are enough branches here in Ukraine.
I use the service ruperevod.org.ua for the entire time of use, I have never failed. While satisfied.
There are few options
1) In essence, most of the methods come down to SWIFT payments and their variations - replenishment using this card system in Ukraine:
- through any bank (they say Alfabank is not bad)
- using a QIWI wallet in Qiwi Valet
- withdrawal of webmoney to a card in hryvnia (in rubles and c.u. - this is not legal)
- withdrawal of poison to a ruble card
- Western-Union online
2) Money transfers
- Intel Express
- Money Gram
- Western Union
3) Replenishment of an account opened in the Ukrainian subsidiary of a Russian bank - Sberbank of Russia , VTB, Bank of Moscow, Alfabank (the recipient needs to specify the possibility)
In many ways, the situation depends on which bank you work with (some option may be cool), but it doesn’t work in your case.
I read as much as possible in the following articles

I transfer to a card from St. Petersburg (St. Petersburg Bank card) to the Luhansk region (Privat) through the site https://send2ua.com/. It turns out 40r + 1.4% of the transfer amount. As far as I remember, all types of cards are accepted.
And I found and installed the Global24 application for myself, and now I send money from Russia home to Ukraine through it. There is a card in Russia, I transfer from it to this global24, and from it you can transfer to Ukrainian cards, which are in hryvnia, the money will be recalculated at the exchange rate. And you don’t have to go to the bank, you don’t have to stand in lines)
