Tablet choice: MoveO! TPC-7S?
A good person has an idea to buy a tablet as a birthday present.
Requirements:
- small size so that you can carry it in a large jacket pocket
- the ability to use it as a reader
- the ability to view movies and photos
- the ability to access the Internet via wifi - a browser, Yandex.maps and skype
- the ability to use it as an mp3 player
Perhaps that all. As far as I understand, all modern tablets satisfy these requirements (except for sizes).
The budget is 7–7.5 thousand rubles. But if it suddenly turns out that “by paying only XX rubles, you can get a really worthwhile thing” (as is often the case), the budget can be increased.
According to the requirements, the choice fell on MoveO! TPC-7S (http://www.ulmart.ru/goods/238936/). Judging by the reviews (on the same Yulmart - a good joke).
It is probably important to clarify that I myself have never worked with either tablets or android. I don’t understand anything at all about this, what versions of android are, how they differ, etc.
Actually the question : scold / praise the choice. Is it worth it to take, or sucks and will be "money down the drain"?
Or maybe you can advise something that fits into the same requirements. (Especially if the alternative is from the Yulmart catalog - the store is conveniently located.)

Take a look at www.amazon.com/Kindle-Fire-Amazon-Tablet/dp/B0051VVOB2
For $200+shipping (which is about your budget, I guess) get a higher resolution, a dual-core processor, and 2x the storage space. And the main plus, I think, is a large number of people who want to squeeze the maximum out of this device, at least there is some chance of updates to new versions of android, unlike the device you have chosen.
I'm a bit surprised by this obsession with under-tablets from Barnes And Noble and Amazon. Even if they can be reflashed to a normal android, but there are no cameras or microphones there! And an Internet tablet without the ability to communicate via Skype is already a bit of a perversion ... And the price is not so small, if you add the delivery and the lack of a guarantee.
I recommend to a respected top-starter to pay attention to two models:
1) Dell Streak 7. Now it is being sold in Svyaznoy for 8200, there is a chance to snatch it. The downside is the resolution of 800x480, otherwise there are solid pluses: Tegra2, Android 3.2 and other delights of a full-fledged tablet.
2) Texet 7022. Of the pluses of your relative choice - a 1024x600 screen. It may be more optimal than your choice (you need to carefully compare the characteristics).
I would probably take Dell, but this is a personal dislike for Chinese gadgets :)
once again I suggest Nook Color, if you have experience with custom firmware, then a chic option for that kind of money. Yes, and there was a rumor here that the price of 7-inch tablets is reduced to $ 200, so it’s quite possible to choose something decent
Judging by the photos, exactly my tablet (also known as DroPad A8, HaiPad M7 or WoPad PV210). There is a review here: habrahabr.ru/blogs/android/119986/
I took it on dealextreme.com I have been using it for
more than six months, there are no complaints - the thing is good, smart, it easily fits into the pockets of jackets. Cons: no usb charging
