System administrator and what does he eat with?

Good day!
Guys, tell me, what are the requirements for a system administrator? I’m pretty stupid in this area (I don’t take into account the knowledge of installing an OS, software, replacing hardware, refilling cartridges and other minimum that I should have) and I ask you to explain what working with databases is (and which are the most popular of all) and what you need to know about this specialty in general. What do you think is the best way to start your career ladder? Find a small office and get a job there as an assistant for a year, in order to gain at least some experience? I'm waiting for your opinions :)

Proficiency in Linux, Bash.
Knowledge of system and network principles.
Setting up monitoring systems, logging.
Virtualization, docker.
Storage clustering.
IaC.
A big plus is knowledge of python or ruby.
Another big plus is CI / CD, this is already a DevOps task.

Big. In a small experience practically will not go.

First, decide on the area that is of interest. If the city is not Moscow and St. Petersburg, then you can get a job, perhaps with an Internet provider as a network manager.
