Synchronization of local directories (no new directories visible)?

Good afternoon!
noticed a feature in MacOS X 10.8 when creating a directory through the terminal (Midnight Commander) in the Finder, this directory is not visible, only after a long time or after a reboot it is visible.
With what it can be connected? how to treat it?

I would venture to suggest that the reason is the latency of file indexing for Finder.
For *nix distributions, this is cured by running the command

updatedb

for immediate indexing. But there the index is necessary only for search.
